God showed me a stripped, bare piece of land this morning. It had been a house and was now totally gone; only bare, flat dirt and not a tree in sight. Beyond this patch of land was the ocean. It had been an older house, on the ocean.

Of course, knowing me, I turned the story to a spiritual lesson. Here it is:

We are that land. We probably had a pretty nice “house” built for God. In the past couple of years, some or ALL of it has been stolen, taken or destroyed! When we look at our lives, we see a bare, ugly patch that seems to have no value. There are no trees, no hills, no house; just a blank space. That’s how we feel about our lives now. We feel devalued and destroyed. “GOOD”, I hear God say. “That’s where I want you!”

Let’s look at what a builder would do with that bare land. First of all, he would build whatever he wanted. There would be no old walls or foundation that would restrict his creativity. He would be free to come up with a new design, a new idea, a new plan. It would be bigger and better than what was originally there. After the building, he would change the landscape with new trees and flowers. The land may be bare now but that bare, ugly soil will still grow plants and flowers!

We are in a glorious place right now. We feel stripped, bare and ugly but God can use us in a bigger, better way than ever before. Why? He has taken away the old foundation, design and blueprints of the old house.

His ways are better than our ways.

Blessings today,

Kim Alexis

Dear Readers,

Yesterday I wrote about Bare Land. There is a second part to this revelation.

LOCATION!

In my image of the bare land yesterday, the land was on the ocean. That stripped piece of land may have looked bad but it was still very valuable. WHY? It's location.

You may feel "bare" and "torn down" by God but you are valuable to Him! Why? He has you in a great location to work for Him.

So, remember today that it is not WHAT YOU HAVE but WHERE YOU ARE for Him.

You may think you have nothing left for God but God is smiling because He knows that it is your LOCATION that is important to Him right now.

He has lined you up! Look around you and see where He has placed you.

He will be faithful to build on that spot.

Glory to God.
