On CNN Debate, Romney Acted Tough On Immigration But His Past Begs To Differ

Americans for Border Security statement in 2007:

“In 2006 Governor Romney supported the President’s immigration policy as well as the McCain-Kennedy bill. He expressed support for an immigration program that places large numbers of illegal residents on the path toward citizenship and said illegal immigrants should have a chance to obtain citizenship.”

SorenDayton.com (May 30, 2007) “Border Security Group Attacks Romney for Flip-flopping on Immigration”:

“Now Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney says he ‘strongly opposes’ the immigration plan also denounced by conservatives even though his public statements suggest he actually agrees with major aspects of the proposal in Congress.”

The Washington Times, August 2007:

“As governor, Mr. Romney wielded control over a significant budget and oversaw three cities that were proud of their designation as ‘sanctuary cities:’ Cambridge, Somerville and Orleans. Yet as governor, Mr. Romney did not cut their funding. He recommended millions of dollars in state funding of them and made no attempt to force these cities to change their policies.”

“His immigration bona fides rest on the ‘deputization’ of the state police that would allow them to arrest illegal immigrants – a law signed less than three weeks before he left office and was never implemented.”

Either You Are, Or You Aren't a Renaissance Woman!

A renaissance woman is someone who sets her own agenda for personal achievement and will not allow herself to be manipulated or intimidated by self-proclaimed spokesmen who try and wrap their political philosophies around terms like "equality," "choice," "peace," "tolerance" and "diversity." She wants to change the paradigm of the feminist movement that has served to marginalize and ridicule women who do not follow their collective agenda.

Millions of women around the country, from all professions, backgrounds and cultures, are courageously picking up the mantel of leadership and virtue, that the feminist movement has squandered. They are providing thoughtful and accurate analysis, on a variety of issues, of where, and who we are as a nation.

Remember, this is not a club. It is a mindset!
