I am prompted to write this article based on what just happened. I've been watching TV lately and have seen how many Americans have been diagnosed with many diseases and are dying of various cancers. I began taking notes in anticipation of doing another article to tell people about the benefits of doing a cleanse.  I then logged online and was shocked to find that a fellow writer of mine has been diagnosed with cancer!  He has been faithfully taking care of his wife as she battled Alzheimer's disease and now, he's sick.  So I know this isn't a coincidence that I had the intention of writing an article on cleansing the body.

I am getting tired of hearing that Americans across this land are sick. The answer is not to load your body with pharmaceutical drugs of all kinds either.  There are too many people who are suffering and dying needlessly in America because they feel there is simply only one way to attack a health problem.

It's time to take control of your health America.

Now, before I go on, I want to say that there is no guarantee that a cleanse will cure any disease, but it will certainly help your body overall.  Based on my experience, natural body/colon cleanses help get the body back in sync after being "shocked" by all the foreign matter (toxins and buildup of feces) that infiltrate our system, or by what we put in our bodies (unbeknownst to us).  And in today's society, that's a lot.  A cleanse is the best way to achieve balance and health.

I have heard how the body needs to be alkaline in order to stay well and function. An acidic body creates an atmosphere for all types of diseases to wreak havoc on us. With all the processed foods we are eating, and with various chemicals that are present in our foods these days, our bodies are sure to be overly acidic. There are certain healthier foods that are alkaline and acidic that can help balance us out (information contained below article).

Yes you can take control of your body. Knowledge is power. Try an alternative to the conventional method of taking care of yourself. We have options in this country. We can take the route we have been told to take, or we can take charge of our health and make sure it is free of pollutants and agents that would bring down our health.

The answer is not to hold or participate in various runs/walks for any type of disease to raise money. Money going toward the marketing and research of drugs will not do anything to help the continuing decline of America's health.

Imagine the range of side effects many drugs bring with them. I'm sure that is not a desirable option one wants to endure. We have to be cognizant of what we put in our bodies.

Ever wonder how people before us made it through life without the conglomerate of drugs available on the market currently? They looked to nature.

Don't let disease and sickness stop you from living a full and healthy life. We are meant to be healthy, not in a constant state of battling illness all the time.
