Conservative Blacks Leave Liberal Plantation

Posted on: Sunday, October 23rd, 2005 by Nina May

The documentary, “Emancipation Revelation/Revolution, will be featured at the Liberty Film Festival in Hollywood, Ca., Oct. 21-23, and introduced by talk show host, Larry Elder. The movie reveals the fate of Black Americans who dare leave the liberal plantation of political correctness and victimization. “They are riding the underground railroad to free speech and rejecting the stereotypes that have been placed on them by the party that claims to be their liberator,” claims author, Mason Weaver. Outspoken political activists such as Star Parker, Jesse Peterson, Niger Innis, and Alveda King, share, in the most intimate terms, what happens to them when they speak out against the Democratic party, and embrace a conservative philosophy. Author, Shelby Steele, reveals that since announcing that he is a “born-again” conservative, “he is the freest man in America because he owes nothing to anyone.” Rev. O'Neal Dozier echoes his sentiments by saying, “I am free, I can say what I want, preach what I want and no one can tell me what to say or do.” The niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Alveda King, shares her memories of the civil rights struggles...

YO HO YO HO...It's The Pirate's Life For UsBy Cheryl Felicia RhoadsIt was my birthday a few weeks ago. And it hasn't exactly been a slow news year..and I really needed a break. So I went to Disneyland just to get away from current events. It was fun... like I was five. I was given both a birthday crown at breakfast and a button that declared in bold print that it was "Cheryl's Birthday!" So, I made the daring decision to keep them both on as I walked around the park (I mean it IS Disneyland, after all!) Yet, I began to notice that occasionally... REAL five year olds were looking at me curiously at me..as if they were thinking, "Get her...why she must be at least in 8th grade!" I understand that concern, when one feels that others should be more mature. That's what I think of the mental age of Congress right now! And so it's exactly why I wanted to get away from the intenet, the pundits and talk radio..for my special day...but then, I just couldn't. A strange thing happened when I was in "The Pirates of The Carribean". All the familiar scenes from that ride began to take on new ominous meanings. The attraction in fact was not a distraction from my politically obsessed world! Everything...

Either You Are, Or You Aren't a Renaissance Woman!

A renaissance woman is someone who sets her own agenda for personal achievement and will not allow herself to be manipulated or intimidated by self-proclaimed spokesmen who try and wrap their political philosophies around terms like "equality," "choice," "peace," "tolerance" and "diversity." She understands that she has been created for such a time as this and embraces her destiny as a challenge and not a curse, no matter what her personal circumstances. She is a winner not a whiner, a leader not a follower, a victor, not a victim. She wants to change the paradigm of the feminist movement that has served to marginalize and ridicule women who do not follow their collective agenda.

Millions of women around the country, from all professions, backgrounds and cultures, are courageously picking up the mantel of leadership and virtue, that the feminist movement has squandered. They are providing thoughtful and accurate analysis, on a variety of issues, of where, and who we are as a nation.

Remember, this is not a club. It is a mindset!
