Listen To The Voices Of Those Who Defend Us

Posted on: Saturday, September 29th, 2007 by RWNetwork Administrator

Do we have the fortitude to stand behind our troops? Andthe fortitude to stand strong for them? The problem lies with our politicians in Washington who use the war in Iraq as a political football instead of realizing lives are at stake. The public then loses hope that the Iraq war is a winnable situation. We should be listening to the voices of those who see war firsthand and do their jobs with such determination, gusto, and selflessness. We can all learn from them. One brave and committedU.S. soldier writes to me: "I just wanted all my friends to know that true Iraqi's want the same things we do in the US. I'll give you another little insider story. There was an Iraqi soldier who was killed in action about 6 months ago. He was Sunni. The local mosque on the installation I serve at is Shia. The immam (like a priest or pastor at a Christian church) held a memorial service for this Sunni soldier even though the immam was Shia. He stressed that this soldier died for all of Iraq and he wanted to honor that sacrifice. What a story! There are signs that the Sunnis and Shias want to live in peace together, even though they disagree. I'm reminded...

The Gathering of Eagles and Move America Forward Orgs. to meet in D.C. in September

Posted on: Thursday, August 30th, 2007 by RWNetwork Administrator

They are at it again...standing in the gap for our military. The Gathering of Eagles groupwill be in Washington D.C. September 10th through the 15th in a show of patriotic force to coincide with Gen. Patraeus' remarks to the Senateon the war in Iraq. The Eagles and the pro-AmericaMove AmericaForward grouphave set their sights on D.C. to be an uplifting force for the nation... to be an example to the nation that we must continue to support our leaders (no matter what strategy they choose to follow) and our troops in their fight against terrorism. No matter what one thinks of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, showing the troops that they are loved and supported is of the utmost importance. The Eagles had an unprecedented amount of people toshow in Washington D.C. earlier this year on March 17th with flags waving and spirits high. They are determined to see the same numbers again on Sept. 15th. The Eagles are made up of military, veterans, and ordinary and patriotic Americans who want to show the world they love their country.Eagles Chairman Capt. Larry Bailey, USN, Ret.mentioned an aggressive but positive agenda thatthe Eagles...

Pushing For a Sane Method of Conducting War

Posted on: Thursday, July 12th, 2007 by RWNetwork Administrator

In the past, I've advocated that we support the President in his request for funding for military operations in Iraq. I supported the President's view of having no attachments to the Iraq Funding bill...as it should have been. I was under the impression that after getting the war funding needed, that we would go on the offense with a vengeance. I haven't seen it. Thus, my view of the Iraq war has taken a new direction. For the sake of bipartisanship and for the sake of the precious lives of our troops in battle, I would hope that President Bush would at least sit down and meet with concerned Republican lawmakers in Washington who representa growing consensus among their constituentswhowant to see an end to the Iraq war. President Bush has been plunging ahead full force with a troop surge, but that has left many unnerved. Why commit more troops to Iraq without showing the full brunt of our military's might? The reason President Bush has advisors is so they can tell him the best course to take in fighting terrorism and the war in Iraq. It would be best if the President lent an ear to all who have concerns. He can't go about making decisions on Iraq on his own,...

Do We Truly Support the Troops?

Posted on: Thursday, July 12th, 2007 by RWNetwork Administrator

One way we can honor the lives of those who have fought in wars past and present is to not only actively support them while they are engaged in battle, but here at home, being mindful of what is going on in our country and working to bring about positive change. It is positive to support our troops, to pray for them, our President, our nation, and our leaders in Washington. We must also act to let our voices be heard.Like many of you, I've endured hearing of more troop deaths in the War on Terror.Frankly, I'm getting sick of it as our leaders in Washington have not sent our men and women to war with all that they need. The main function of the military during times of war is not so much nation building as we are doing now (although that is good), but it is to search and destroy the enemy. We have to be on the offense, eliminating the threat. That MUST be the case all the time. But since we only go on the offensive only half of the time in Iraq specifically, perhaps we should be looking at other ways to be successful in Iraq.Fouryears into the war in Iraq, ourtroops are still fighting, but they have had to wait forhelpful resources that could...

The New Democrat Mafia and Don Pelosi

Posted on: Saturday, March 24th, 2007 by Nina May

To compare the tactics of Don Pelosi and the Democrats to the Mafia, is actually an insult to the Mafia. In the most outrageous bribery/protection money spending bill, designed to undercut our troops on the ground in a foreign land, the Democrat majority has used their power to intimidate, payoff, bribe cajole and promise pork barrel goodies to spineless politicians while using OUR hard earned tax dollars. All this at a time, when they are discussing an increase in the protection money we must pay them every year. They want to increase our taxes, so that they can bribe weak-minded politicians with pork for their districts so they can try and hold on to their power in 2008. And it will have to be a big tax increase to cover the 23 BILLION in pork they just penned into the budget for their role in backstabbing our young men and women in uniform. Now, lets unravel this for a minute. Liberals claim they want to end the war because innocent kids are being killed . .. yet they disarm them at their greatest point of need. And if they are so concerned about a dangerous occupation, they need to stop funding for policemen, firefighters, sanitation workers, construction and several other professions...

It's Too Early To Start Talking About '08

Posted on: Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 by RWNetwork Administrator

No sooner had the 2006 Mid-Term elections ended, Democrat and Republican Presidential hopefuls lined up to announce their intentions of running for President in 2008. And so, the race is on. But we are barely over the last election and are looking to another? The politicking never ends! I need a break already! I think we need to stop and think about the current threats to our nation. Iran, for example, is still playing a game of words. Iran's President Ahmadinejad's recent remarks to the US: "We will talk to the US government under certain conditions. Should it correct its behavior, we will talk to them." Change OUR behavior?! Iran is in defiance to the UN and the US by not heeding calls to halt their nuclear program and WE are the ones who need to change? I think he has it backwards. Iran has done that before, trying to look innocent in the face of International criticism, while never revealing their true intentions. Not only has Ahmadinejad continued in his nuclear pursuits, he is blatantly looking for the next Bin Laden within his own country to take the top spot as the leader of Al Qaeda. He practically scoffs at the US and the International community through his words and...

WHAT NOW

Posted on: Tuesday, October 10th, 2006 by Resa Laru Kirkland

Sunday October 8 started with a request from a friend of mine, DC of Chimpsy Radio, to record an interview regarding what was then only the threat of a nuclear test from North Korea. I revealed for the first time a fact I've shared with only a few close associates in the past.Back in 1997, I was in contact with a Major who was stationed along the DMZ. Three years earlier, NK had thrown their usual temper tantrum in order to blackmail and bludgeon America into giving them money, supplies, and a nuclear reactor. Fortunately for them, the Capitulator-in-Chief happily complied, in direct jaw-dropping defiance of the certain conclusions such an act would cause. So I asked him:Does North Korea have nukes? He paused. I took this interlude to mean he was considering the question. I was sorry to learn it was actually stunned silence. “Resa, don't you know? Everyone here knows they have nukes; the American soldiers, the ROK, China, Japan. You mean you don't know? Of course they have nukes! How do you not know that? Everyone knows!”My turn for stunned silence. He was the first one to make clear to me the growing connection that was developing between Islam and this communist...

TIME FOR A HANGIN'

Posted on: Friday, October 6th, 2006 by Resa Laru Kirkland

OK, I knew it was coming. When I went to check North Korea's state run newspaper the past couple of weeks, I immediately noticed the mammoth increase in anti-America rhetoric. NK watchers know this a sign that Kim is up to no good, and we brace ourselves for an announcement. Sure enough, we got one. Yawn. Haven't we been down this road before? This time there's a little more plutonium on board, but other than that, déjà vu. That's the problem with Totalitarian Dictators: they have a knack for teasing their audience, sometimes for years, to both gain attention and”oddly enough”the element of surprise. After all, it worked for Hitler, and from looking at Kim's Kollection of worldly Krap, he only follows the best. Yep¦Kim's counting on our two second attention span and easily distracted, what's-Johnny-Depp-up-to level of consciousness. It's his most powerful western ally. Well, that and the UN. Chamberlain assured the world of “peace in our time.” The Nazi beast snickered at the easily led fool”and handy tool”and gobbled up most of Europe in only a few bites as the last tremors of Chamberlain's words echoed across the world. And now we hear the Stalinist stomach...

IF IT BELIEVES LIKE SATAN AND ACTS LIKE SATAN

Posted on: Thursday, September 28th, 2006 by Resa Laru Kirkland

Know this, that every soul is freeTo choose his life and what he'll be;For this eternal truth is givenThat God will force no man to Heaven. He'll call, persuade, direct arightAnd bless with wisdom, love, and light; In nameless ways be good and kind,But never force the human mind. The above poem is actually an old hymn. I memorized it when I was 15, because my dad had memorized it too. I had asked him why we couldn't just force people to do the right thing, and he reminded me that such had been Lucifer's plan in Heaven, and that everyone who now exists on earth had voted against it and chose Christ's plan of saving by choice, not force. Then, to get his point across, he recited the above poem to me. It so impacted me with its clarity and wisdom that I immediately got out our old hymnal and memorized it too. I've never forgotten that. It was a defining moment in my understanding of right and wrong, freedom and slavery, God and Satan. God wants us to return to Him by choice; Satan, on the other hand, is perfectly content to take us by force.Interesting, isn't it, that the one thing God won't do is the only thing Islam will do?It is staring us in the face today, as stark a contrast...

Either You Are, Or You Aren't a Renaissance Woman!

A renaissance woman is someone who sets her own agenda for personal achievement and will not allow herself to be manipulated or intimidated by self-proclaimed spokesmen who try and wrap their political philosophies around terms like "equality," "choice," "peace," "tolerance" and "diversity." She understands that she has been created for such a time as this and embraces her destiny as a challenge and not a curse, no matter what her personal circumstances. She is a winner not a whiner, a leader not a follower, a victor, not a victim. She wants to change the paradigm of the feminist movement that has served to marginalize and ridicule women who do not follow their collective agenda.

Millions of women around the country, from all professions, backgrounds and cultures, are courageously picking up the mantel of leadership and virtue, that the feminist movement has squandered. They are providing thoughtful and accurate analysis, on a variety of issues, of where, and who we are as a nation.

Remember, this is not a club. It is a mindset!
