Don't Follow the Path of Political Correctness, Mr. President

Posted on: Saturday, February 24th, 2007 by RWNetwork Administrator

I believe President Bush has had good intentions as he has led this nation for 2 terms. I believe along the way, though, he has lost his way as he is listening to advice that is not necessarily in the best interest of this country. Political correctness has also infiltrated the Bush administration. I'm trying to figure out the logic of the Bush administration for allowing 10,000 Saudi students into this country to "study" at our universities. Many of whom are liberal bastions, spewing how bad America has become. Yet President Bush is allowing tens of thousands of Saudi students, who may have questionable attitudes towards the US, to come here and study. Aren't we shooting ourselves in the foot? There is also news that Saudi citizens are funding terrorists in Iraq. The AP reports: "...the U.S. Iraq Study Group report said Saudis are a source of funding for Sunni Arab insurgents. Several truck drivers interviewed by The Associated Press described carrying boxes of cash from Saudi Arabia into Iraq, money they said was headed for insurgents. Two high-ranking Iraqi officials, speaking on condition of 96 because of the issue's sensitivity, told the AP most of the Saudi money comes from private...

Who Is President George W. Bush?

Posted on: Tuesday, October 24th, 2006 by RWNetwork Administrator

Who is President George W. Bush? Is he the passionate conservative he claims? I am finding myself asking that question a lot these days as I see over and over, issues that concern conservatives go undone. If the President were serious about conservative causes, his ardent conservative supporters would have seen a whole lot more action than we are seeing presently. Conservatives have definitely been vocal to the Bush administration about the causes they support. And we are still trying to get the President's attention on important key issues. For example, the effort to fully protect our borders has become a joke. Everything is now being approached for political purposes, and not necessarily for our nation's protection. We are at war, and leaving an open border screams, "Come get me!" Half of the reason Washington is not immediately cracking down on the border is because they are pandering to certain groups of people in our country, and it has become epidemic as politicians and the President try to please everybody to make themselves look good. Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking the President, but I am questioning his methods, because he's not fully backing up what he says. ...

KNOW YOUR ENEMY

“KNOWING YOUR ENEMY”Representative John Murtha, READ AND LEARNBy Tricia Erickson, Crisis Management, Inc.www.crisismanagementincorporated.comemail: crisismgmtinc@aol.comcopywrite November, 2005As a Crisis Management strategist, I learned very quickly that the first step to winning a battle is to know as much about your enemy as possible. In the past, I have hired detectives to gather information about the person, company or group who are leading the attack, for the reason of understanding the complete agenda of the perpetrators. Only when I understood the motive of the attacking force, could I develop a strategy of protection and a battle plan. Going in to battle without knowing your opposition is like throwing tennis balls at person who is coming after you with a machete. When Representative John Murtha decided to call for an end to the war in Iraq, citing that he had been through the hospitals and witnessed soldiers missing limbs, I wonder, did he go to the homes of the families of the three thousand people who lost their lives at the World Trade Center and witness the pain and horror of losing their loved ones to these murderous Jihadist thugs?Rep Murtha, obviously,...

Bolting for Bush---- Edward I. Koch Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004

Posted on: Tuesday, January 27th, 2004 by Renaissance Men

I am a lifelong Democrat. I was elected to New York's City Council, Congress and three terms as mayor of New York City on the Democratic Party line. I believe in the values of the Democratic Party as articulated by Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson and by Senators Hubert Humphrey, Henry "Scoop" Jackson and Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Our philosophy is: "If you need a helping hand, we will provide it." The Republican Party's philosophy, on the other hand, can be summed up as: "If I made it on my own, you will have to do the same." Nevertheless, I intend to vote in 2004 to reelect President Bush. I will do so despite the fact that I do not agree with him on any major domestic issue, from tax policy to the recently enacted prescription drug law. These issues, however, pale in importance beside the menace of international terrorism, which threatens our very survival as a nation. President Bush has earned my vote because he has shown the resolve and courage necessary to wage the war against terrorism. The Democratic presidential contenders, unfortunately, inspire no such confidence. With the exception of Senator Joseph Lieberman, who...

George Bush vs. the Naive Nine

Posted on: Thursday, November 20th, 2003 by Renaissance Men

If I live and breathe, and if -- as Hank Williams used to say -- the creek don't rise, in 2004 this Democrat will do something I didn't do in 2000, I will vote for George W. Bush for president. '  I have come to believe that George Bush is the right man in the right place at the right time. And that's a pretty big mouthful coming from a lifelong Democrat who first voted for Adlai Stevenson in 1952 and has voted for every Democratic presidential candidate the 12 cycles since then. My political history to the contrary, this was the easiest decision I think I've ever made in deciding who to support. For I believe the next five years will determine the kind of world my four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren will live in. I simply cannot entrust that crucial decision to any one of the current group of Democratic presidential candidates. '  Why George Bush? First, the personal; then, the political. '  I first got to know George Bush when we served as governors together, and I just plain like the man, a man who feeds his dogs first thing every morning, has Larry Gatlin sing in the White House, and knows what is meant by the term "hitting behind the runner." '  I...

What Will George Bush Do About North Korea? How to win without really trying.

Posted on: Friday, August 1st, 2003 by Renaissance Men

This article will be featured in Insight Magazine on Monday Aug 4th, and may be posted on their website by then. (InsightMag.com) Now that Iraq has been somewhat tamed with a swift and decisive campaign against Saddam Hussein, the United States is in the middle of a complex nation-building process. During the past 18 months, however, the Bush administration handled another, possibly greater threat with amazing diplomatic maneuver. Yet few recognize the victory. Let's look at the Korean Crisis as it simmers on our back burner. Early in the Bush Presidency, the Korean peninsula was so quiet that South Korea asked us to consider removing our troops. But when 9/11 signaled the start of a long war against terrorism, President Bush pointed out North Korean dictator Kim Il Sung was part of the "Axis of Evil." Kim took the bait and showed his hand. Believing America was vulnerable, Kim revealed he had duped Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, admitting a nuclear weapons program. Now, he threatened to use nukes to stop American "hostile policies," fend off South Korean threats, and take on the evil Japanese. It wasn't a bad gamble. The last time North Korea rattled the nuclear...

Black Tie Black Eye

Posted on: Tuesday, June 24th, 2003by RWNetwork Administrator

One of the things that has always bothered me the most about DC is the railing against each other by day and then going out for a drink together in the evening. How can folks who are diametrically opposed in goals duke it out (like gentlemen for the most part, on the Right side of the aisle), one wanting smaller government and lower taxes, the other, big government and all kinds of social programs, tax and spend democrats and then yuck it up at the local watering hole? It always boggled my mind and it is one of the things about politics that I find so distasteful. This kind of behavior gave rise to the "old-boys club" and "inside the Beltway deals" that are odious to me. How can you really believe in something for hours during the day and then put those strong beliefs away in the evening? I have had a few try to explain this to me and condescendingly at that, that this is "politics" and I'm just some dumb skirt, pat me on the head and I'll go to my sewing. Every year there is a black tie to-do in DC that has the president making a few self-deprecating remarks for the press people to gloat about and then some entertainment...

President Bush Signs Jobs and Economic Growth Plan into Law

Posted on: Wednesday, May 28th, 2003by RWNetwork Administrator

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all very much. Good afternoon, and welcome to the White House. Today we are taking essential action to strengthen the American economy. With my signature, the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 will deliver substantial tax relief to 136 million American taxpayers. We are helping workers who need more take-home pay. We're helping seniors who rely on dividends. We're helping small business owners looking to grow and to create more new jobs. We're helping families with children who will receive immediate relief. By ensuring that Americans have more to spend, to save, and to invest, this legislation is adding fuel to an economic recovery. We have taken aggressive action to strengthen the foundation of our economy so that every American who wants to work will be able to find a job. (Applause.) I want to thank the members of my team who have worked so hard to get this bill to this desk. (Laughter.) I particularly want to thank Secretary John Snow and Secretary Don Evans for their tireless efforts to convince members of both political parties what we're doing today is the right thing to do on behalf of all Americans. (Applause.) I want to thank Steve...

Either You Are, Or You Aren't a Renaissance Woman!

A renaissance woman is someone who sets her own agenda for personal achievement and will not allow herself to be manipulated or intimidated by self-proclaimed spokesmen who try and wrap their political philosophies around terms like "equality," "choice," "peace," "tolerance" and "diversity." She understands that she has been created for such a time as this and embraces her destiny as a challenge and not a curse, no matter what her personal circumstances. She is a winner not a whiner, a leader not a follower, a victor, not a victim. She wants to change the paradigm of the feminist movement that has served to marginalize and ridicule women who do not follow their collective agenda.

Millions of women around the country, from all professions, backgrounds and cultures, are courageously picking up the mantel of leadership and virtue, that the feminist movement has squandered. They are providing thoughtful and accurate analysis, on a variety of issues, of where, and who we are as a nation.

Remember, this is not a club. It is a mindset!
